Went to the garage to start the RS - seemed ok - pulled out of the drive and 'bang' 'splutter, splutter' 'bang' 'bang' - power died
After three minutes of panic thought - it MUST be the spark box - which is crazy as she had a new one less than 18 months and 500 miles ago.
Then it occured to me my Sporto had been retrofitted - whipped the box out, eventually got it into the RS - and she's running like a dream!
So what's he complaining about you ask? The spark box in my Sporto must be at least 20 years old - and I'm now very nervous about running to LeMans and back with it - AND it's the third spark box that's been in there in three years!!!
ANY ideas appreciated - and if anyone's got a refurbed box they were going to fit / spare anything - and if you can take it to LeMans I'll gladly buy it off you
