Looks lovely, I bet you can't wait to hear it fire up. I can empathise with the waiting, it's all the little bits that seem to take forever, but when you get to pick it up it's all worth it.

The oil pipes are now all connected back up.
The rear ride height was a little low once the wheels and tyres were fitted so there's been some careful tweaking to get things sorted. The suspension is being aligned too. With all new tyres, dampers, bushes etc it should ride nice and corner capably. I'll let you know.

The motor fired up fine after the spark box was changed and a couple of minor fuel leaks were cured. Sounds very sweet and has excellent pressure.
There's a bit of tuning to do and then it's off for an MOT.

Another beautiful car. If I recall, it came up for sale a year or so ago, now it has resold this week. I think his pictures do a pretty good job of catching the 'normal' shade - as you say, it varies in light and is hard to capture accurately. It will be nice to see a picture of yours out from under those artificial lights.

This restoration defines 'do it once and do it right' - it takes true craftsmen to do a job at this level and Nick clearly is one. He should be immensely proud of his work on this car.

Take it to a few shows, and then drive the tar out of it.

Yes, Nick's doing a superb job.
I'm really pleased we've kept with the original colour.
In fairness, the car was so completely stripped it could have been painted any colour and I did anguish over that dilema for a while.
However I think the correct thing was to go back to the metallic green and the way it's turned out vindicates that choice.

You and I can make sure Metallic Green's the hot new colour for 2006.

Next thing'll be 997's in that shade.
