John: great photo's, sorry I missed you. I wonder whether you had managed to make it.
Charlotte: nice pics, I must join in on the run a bit further 'up the route' soon'.
General note to self: never, ever be persuaded to stand near car for pictures again

Sorry i missed you. I was hoping that you were to come along the picknick but then I heard about the 3rd gear.
I did check your TR when I was walking around trying to remember the comments you mentioned earlier on the forum.... The quality of the work..... pfew. Stunning.

Hi Bert: yes, sorry I missed you, I didn't realise you had made it down: wasn't sure if you were just doing the picnic.
Yes, I'll be at the Northern: unlike the TR, which will be lurking at home waiting for it's gearbox surgery. It's pretty unlucky really as the rest of the 'box is perfect: very quiet and good synchro's. I've got a very good gearbox company I use who will be fair and do a good job: just one of those things.
The car's off to it's first TR meet tomorrow, so can come apart after that. As I was saying to the others, the car's got overdrive so O/D 2nd is not far off the same as third, so its quite usable in the meantime, for shorter journeys at least.
As for the pictures, you'll have to be quick

Great morning and good to see you all. The first 10 miles of the blast after Goodwood towards Wellington was brilliant. Great road, although I'm still wondering why the pace was so tame - MIKE!
John, good to meet you and glad your starter issues resolved, at least to get you home. I now remember seeing your car down at Nick's during resto. Gorgeous car
Sorry to have missed the picnic, but looking forward to the next meet.
