hmy7k, thanks for the endorsement of the Michelins. It seemed the right selection for the car. In these days of tyres like rubber bands on monster rims we'll show 'em how deep a sidewall should be!
Sorry you missed the yellow car Nick. Bit galling waiting for the call only to be told it sold to the first viewer. Wonder how much that will appear at on a dealers forecourt?
Just what are you going to drive to the 'classic' in? A van?

Not yet. I got a passenger ride in your old Silver RHD at Goodwood a month ago and in John Probert's immaculate RHD at Oulton Park last week end. They are very ompressive cars
Got my freshly made plates through today.
Die-pressed aluminium type (3 1/8th" characters), correct to the age of the vehicle.
Currently the car's still on a vanity plate and I need an MOT before I can get the original registration mark reinstated.
Nearly there.

The steering wheel is being re-trimmed.
Nick's international network of Porsche specialists is vast.
You'll never guess what country the work is being done in.

Well, apologies but whilst things are progressing well, the car won't make an appearance at Sandown.
Nick's had to contend with a client mucking him about and a few crucial parts not arriving in time. That and our reluctance to not rush things or compromise means it'll be a little longer before completion.
There's also the small matter of re-installing the motive power plant...

Interior is nearly complete. The photos tell the story. I like to post some shots of the exterior but the Early 911 boys are too busy to stop and clean the car and forbid me to photograph it dirty. Can't shoot it 'till it's literally "done and dusted"

Another few shots to update things as the car inches towards completion.
The engine is now in and we have oil pressure.
Today will see some fuel and sparks added and hopefully things will get a bit more vocal.
After nearly twenty years off the road it'll be quite an event to hear it spring back into life.
