Great looking 356's - can you give some more details on them - maybe in the 'Members' Gallery' section ?

As for Classic Le Mans there are quite a few of us driving down - one group via the Portsmouth -> Caen ferry :

& another group via the Channel Tunnel :

Most of us are camping at Maison Blanche.

yeah sure :P
i will be collecting it from the paint shop next friday and he's been taking pics as he goes along (over 90 in all), i had already put new floors in and hes had to repair the panels either side of the doors from window line to bottom of sill about 5 inch wide. its been stripped back to bare metal and painted back to the original adriablau although i had to get a sample painted up on a test card and emailed a pic of the colour to the split window registry to confirm that the colour was ok as i couldnt get the original formula, the colour i used was an old ford europe one. i'll be taking the car straight to the trimmers, that will also be as close to the original as possible using grey leatherette and grey cord seats, cord door panels, grey/blue headliner and carpets(square weave). there were quite a few wrong items on the car, indicators, rear lights, bonnet handle(how much!!) and porsche emblems(even more!!) :sad1: one door handle, wheels although i will be fitting 15" by 4.5" for better handling, then finally look at the engine but i think thats ok(drove it back from berlin). :thumbright:

Yeah the hood handle has shot up in price I bought mine back in 2002 I have a box full of new parts to fit. I have just picked up the head liner in Ca last week I went for a synthetic one rather than the wool. Which is original but A the price is $450 and it's a bitch to fit. Also easy to mark.
So for $100 I got a copy.

The seats are cord inserts like mine I have some Idea what they were orginaly. My colour is still 99.9% sorted as I think it's Radium Green.

Pic above is the back of the glove box lid.

The engine is done and the box is OK. But will split to check over and re oil up with new seals and oil.

The rest of the car is in bits and I need about 30 hrs to really kick some butt on the project. I have the floor to replace but only certain area's not the whole lot.

I also have the rear of the front wings to cut out and replace the repair panel for these are cheap.

Can't wait to see some pics of you car.

where are getting your cord from for the seats, i picked up some heavy duty upholstery cord from a store on the internet, i have a card full of samples in different colours if its of any help, the grey for mine is slightly darker and wider cord but i dont suppose i'd find the exact stuff. i'm happy with the colour. heres some pics hopefully, i've had problems loading them.
theres an engine bay sound deadening set in the grey which i had cut from an original set borrowed from pr services, £170 which i think is very good.
some pics of the body show the old repairs and also the good front and back panels.
