I'm sure you're right Mike.
Check out this fascinating thread littered with pearls of wisdom from Andy.
Impressive knowledge.

I'll concede it looks certain to be a 914 wheel but as a tall lad I'm happy to retain the smaller wheel and the extra legroom.

I run a 380mm (914) wheel in my 2.4S. I much prefer the 380 over the 400. IMHO the 380 gives a better 'feel'Ferry Man wrote:I'm sure you're right Mike.

Been away a bit but trying to catch up with some fresh photos for you.
Here's a couple of shots of the final paint preparation.
I'll post some other pictures once the exterior paint is on.
Nice rims eh?

Work has now commenced on the engine re-build.
The case is apart and all seems well.
The crank is in very fine condition.
It’ll be going back together with fresh barrels, pistons, rings and bearings.
Nick had yet to check over the heads and valves but judging by the excellent condition of the rest of the motor no problems are expected.
Looking good.
Must have been one careful lady owner, meticulous with her oil changes!
