I'd also forgotten that Sandy Denny had duetted with Robert Plant (on 'The Battle of Evermore') - which inspired me to dig out my copy of Led Zeppelin IV & fire up my B&O turntable ...

RIP Chris indeed. He lived in my village (or I live in his..) and was frequently seen in local pubs until a few years ago. Less so in last 15 years but I have bumped into him a few times and he always had time to say hi, he will be missed by music fans the world over as well as locally.
