And while I'm here, what the heck is this?

Multiple connection options suggests more fan control - part of US Spec aircon setup?

The white plastic piece looks like it was sealed into something, so presumably it was somewhere they expected it to get wet?

Brain fade - I think that funny black bit is the bulb holder for the ashtray, so just below the heater controls

Not seen anything like the last bit but it looks like the white plastic bit could be a side indicator light (I don’t have them)
So my guess is that plus headlight and front indicator cables & connections.

Ah, yes!

If I'd bothered to check my dismantling shots I'd have known that. It was some time ago.

This wing was toast and I gave the outer part of the front indicator unit to the bodywork guy so he could work on fitting gaps. So I haven't see the indicators for several years!!

Need to check if I can buy a replacement or do some better epoxying on this one...

Peter - good call on the ashtray. Presumably fits from above. Will check on a pals US '74 which I suspect will be the same.

Thanks all again.

More bits.

The plastic bits may fit into the doors as supports for lock mech connecting rods?

I’m thinking the silver and black piece may be something to do with sunroof - guides?

That's the ashtray illumination bulb holder. The bulb should be connected to a black wire with a blue tracer.
