Well, I have a pair of new spare cable- trial fitted, for anything later than a 67 912!. Found my very expensive shrouds are knackered too- so as I have all the alloy ends, I am buying PTFE tubing and will refurb myself for under £10 :-)

If you go to the 912 bus and search there is a thread on there how someone repaired the guide tubes
