Simon, you'll be in Germany; everyone wears lederhosen. :)
Fair point! Great - I'll be fine then!

Thanks Nick - will have a look

It cost me 130 euro a night when I booked a few days ago and that was for a single room
Wasn't much more for a double but then I'm not as optimistic as I used to be

I always use booking.com

Two single en suite rooms within 20 mins walk of the exhibition hall – €75 a night per room. I find this by far the best site around, with some of the best rates. No cancellation charges in most cases, either.

I second that. Good deals on that web site and easy to find...

Hotel Alma is always pretty good - 20 mins walk to the show.

I'm travelling over on the Wednesday and back Saturday.

Guys,

I will be there for all 5 days.
I am staying at the Holiday Inn and would like to meet up with you at some time during the show.
See separate post in General for my UK travels in early May.

Cheers,
Dennis. :)

Paul,

Is there anywhere in the exhibition centre to get a decent lunch, I never came across anything other than a few sandwich bars and hotdog stands last year, perhaps I wasnt looking hard enough...

Cheers
Jon

Yes, there was a restaurant where you could sit down with a meal. Usually sauerkraut.

No. :)
But last year we found a sleepy backwater where they served you at a table. It was a dining area hidden away in the back of a remote and distant hall. I'll never be able to find it again.

We've had to change our flights for various reasons, so now flying out on Friday, 10:45am and back on Saturday on a 2pm flight - so a chunk of Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. We were in the Mercure, but they couldn't swap nights so we're now in Sheraton (seems to be as close I hope!) May well end up on the same flight as some of you guys perhaps?

This is the first time I've been, so as a Techno virgin on limited time - any recommendations please on where to head?!? I'd like to see the main Porsche stand of course, but any hidden gems worth heading for? And am I likely to find any decent bits for my newly refitted garage due this summer?!?

Thanks in advance,
Simon
