Absolutely certain this is the one I saw when in Tokyo about two months ago - quite heavily modified to be more Cup car which, to my taste, is a shame.

Philip? So the statement "It is fully original and has never been modified. " is incorrect?

If so, would an original car be more expensive

I can't even remember the last time I saw an RSR advertised!

Um, yes

Dry break fuel system was not fitted on the RSR or RS Lightweight as it was called in RHD - I owned N7 RSR for a couple of years and parted with it as it had been 'enhanced' for the track by the previous owner - when they leave the factory, they know what they're doing.

The 993 Cup is an awesome machine (as Mr. Vic will no doubt testify

) but the RSR isn't a track machine, to me it's the most finely honed road machine which is track capable, whereas the Cup is the true track version.

Lord knows - I'm ASTOUNDED to hear yesterday that RHD 993 RS's are trading for over £100k

I sold my absolutely mint RHD one in 2006 for £65k and thought I'd done the dogs danglies of a deal

Who knows where their ceiling is - for me, I'd always pay a premium for originality, which is why I don't do the race car thing, though respect to those who do.

Uncle Phils car might be torn from hands of current owner IRO £110K ............ITS STILL MINT ......Highest i ve SEEN done is £135k last year for Riviera blue RHD RS CS ...well known car with modest mileage , purchased cos the guy missed it some years earlier at abt £85 ..........simple equation he always wanted it and there it was!

Yellow Tokyo car, as Phil said much cross over between what it wud be totally original and things modified , looking at piccies .........maybe sensible or the guys personal taste but will detract from price at reasale

Concur top rs in standard form £100k+ for simply good ones , maybe more if LHD ............cars available at £65-100 usually a reason even if its only v high mileage ....................IMO boils down to what u can afford and what u want it for

Recently had lunch with a reasonably sane guy, who s just bought a second standard rs for £100+ purely to keep for investment , drives the other one loads !

Oh anyone wanting to blow whats left of their brains out from noise and discomfort Tom Schmitz got a championship, Uwe Alzen, Cup car , fully restored on his page at Eu 95000...............been in UK , history easily traceable , resto done by good guy [ di my blue GT2 and its still going !]
Beauty off cuppies ,shud u take a wing off on atrack day watever [ u really wud nt be taking one for a picnic!] then u dont have to explain value in original panel piant etc !!! May sound plonky but try getting ur money back on an ordinary rs thats been stuffed , however well rebuilt!

If anyone is looking then N911 GWU is a corker of a car - I can tell you every bit of history up until it went to it's current owner who is a proper gent.

Did nt know u had a Viagara blue? Yes RHD , THE ONE IN 911 PW Blues bros article ,I was offered way back, when 11000 miles i think Andrew Stevens , not 100% on owner...........had the other 993 rs same colour at the time ,did nt want to pay up for CS as the car was my daily driver...................forget mileage on RHD CS NOW abt 22000 miles i think........................current owner uses mainly for 3/4 track days a year and swear s he ll keep it for ever .............

I went and picked it up from somewhere near Cambridge - lovely car in excellent condition, I think about 14,000 miles then. Would have been 2003?

N7 RSR was also a stunning car - just had been lightly track prepped and I preferred N911 GWU (Philip Basil's car) - which, in my personal opinion, is the best one out there that I'm aware of.

the white one rhd just gone thru low mileage drives very nicely apart from looking good................u must have had blue one after AS and me seeing it

Don't - I was thinking back:

1st - Red LHD (I loved it so much)
2nd - Black RHD (John Chester's old one when he bought the GT2)
3rd - Blue RHD (ex. McAlpine very special car - only sold it to buy:)
4th - Riviera Blue RHD CS (never gelled with the car dunno why)
5th - Polar RHD CS N7 RSR (just didn't get on with it - too skittish for the road, sold it to buy:)
6th - Polar RHD N911 GWU - sold to Philip and regretted it about a second after

7th - Red LHD (um, a 'driver' rather than a show car

)

Wonder what the value of that little lot would be now compared to when I bought them

I seem to remember I sold the last red one in 2007 for about £30k - I heard it changed hands this year for £85k!!!

Always wondered where my old 964RS in Maritime Blue went - J111 RSL - now that was a very special little car.

BUT - I wouldn't trade any of them for my 2.7 - nothing else in the World feels the same - it's the one car I always want to come home and drive

Do know where some of those are now ............cant start to think abt lists like that ,the one i shud never have sold was the 3 0 rs ...............but i did buy it at £33k even though i had to spend a little over the 8 years !
Just think of the fun i had ,u cant put a price on those days out ,plus some terrific people i met always asking ...is that a real one ? except smarty pants Nic Moss ;walks up at Goodwood 'thats a real one !'

Hey ho if it had nt brought back a tad more than what i spent [ cough cough] wud never have had the others ..............Mrs Cohen wud not have permitted !

Neil has just had in a quite high mileage LHD car but with full service history and a recent £10k Parr overhaul priced at a pretty reasonable (for Neil ) £75k:

I spotted that a couple of days ago and though it was pretty good value, although not my ideal spec, but then a couple of Recaros would go some way to making it better. Blimey, I sold mine with similar mileage for £55K 2 years ago
