Hmm, I see what you're saying. I suppose you're right about the hub to fuchs thing aswell. Then again knowing porsche they probably used some special blend of steel to prevent it (maybe a high chromium content grade?) I don't ever remember seeing much rust on my hubs when removing the wheel? OK disregard my first post.

Most wheels are painted in the middle so no real contact with the nuts?? or they have a laquer over the other shiny bits, so no contact again??

When I've taken my wheels off you do get a white dusty deposit!!!!?
