HI Mike

I would like to watch
1. A top end rebuild
2. A pressure fed tensioner upgrade
3. Heat exchanger change
4. MFI and/or webber tune/setup

Not asking much am I?

Regards
Mike

HI EddieDay and 210bhp for the reply, it would require some time to set up just what you would like to see, esp' the top end re build, the tensioners and heat exchangers could be covered it the day + some other work, as for the engine work Eddie the I do not have all the parts/engines/room to show that amount of info' from 66, 911 to the 993, the info is covered well in both of the Bruce Anderson books and Wayne Dempsey book "How to Rebuild and Modify Porsche 911 Engines". A 915 gearbox could be coverd in the day. Could you give me some idear of the time you would like to spend; W/E, Week, 2 days , 4days as some things take time to cover, I would like to talk to some one who would like to organise this project, please ring/PM me .

regards mike

Hi all, I would be happy to do MFI day/evening in the South. It could be Pub or workshop based as suits - just needs a mech inj car to demonstrate on and a few mfi parts (that I have) to form the discussion base.

Well done James for stepping up to the plate. Like I said in my first post this would only work if someone was prepared to organise it. It would be a big task fot this to be repeated around the country and each venue could only have a few 'students'. I am willing to help you and Mike on organising. Just pm me if you need anything done.

Mike.....I have all the books you mention but it is not the same reading about jobs as it is to get hands on experience and guidence. Many thanks for even contemplating putting up with a bunch of DDKers in your workshop. If it starts the ball rolling I would prefer a two day event.

Regards

I'd be up for an engine rebuild masterclass in the North of England too - top end (esp. setting the cam timing) rebuild is the bit I need, or will need, eventually....

The Lakes and surrounding area is a wonderful venue too 8).
2006 RHD 997 Carrera (but DDK remains in my heart - also now no longer)
1972 LHD 2.4T with '73 2.4T CIS motor - gone to a new DDK home
1994 RHD 993 Carrera - gone!
1968 LHD 911L - was the Wife's but now in new hands :-(
