Northern Event place available with hotel room!! :(

Due to the inability of the RAC to get my car back into the UK in anything like a reasonable time frame (looks like it might be the END of next week) I'm going to have to pull out of the Northern Event this year.

It was without doubt a highlight of last year and it will be a great disappointment to miss it. However due to various commitments in the prior weekends I'm not going to be able to fit Tim's carb, repair the airbox and get everything set up well enough to give me confidence to take the car. I need to ensure reliability and to make sure nothing else is damaged before I go blasting over the moors!

I know I could come with Juliet in the daily driver and then get lifts with all you kind people, but it just won't be the same and I'll just be miserable and frustrated!!!! :(

So for the simple refund of my hotel deposit (I need to check just how much that was) you can join the premier DDK event of the year.

Just don't post too many photos of the fantastic weekend you all had.

I'll post this in the general section as well.

Sorry to let you down James. :(

I am limited on the number of people I'm allowed for Sunday afternoons visit to the Mexborough collection (& I am already well over the original max number  ;) :) )

best to 'pm' me about sunday :)

Hi all, sorry to benefit from Gary's bad luck, but had been planning to join the Northern Run and was waitlisted at the hotel, especially after talking to James at Classic Le Mans, head still in the clouds from there!

Really looking forward to meeting everyone and experiencing the wonderful driving roads you have planned, together with the fantastic locations and scenary, not to mention sampling all of the local ales, come the evening time, as long as Thomas hasn't drunk the place dry by then...

The Mexbourgh Collection will be a highlight, hope the white RSR will be there, a personal favorite.

Not fixed up if arriving Friday or Saturday lunchtime, might be coming up in convoy with Viv, or anyone else from the south east?

Really looking forward to it, see you soon
cheers, Mike.

 Do you have any idea how small a range a UK market RS has?

(note to self, bring a jerry can and AA card!)
