Dug the car out of its winter hibernation. Gave it a good seeing-to around my local test track (Ascot/Drift Rd/Holyport/Fifield/Winkfield for those who know it) for half an hour, put it away wet:

Discovered at 6500rpm in 3rd that there's still sand in the ventilation system.

First salt-free dry roads for some time, and ironically I seem to end up at the seaside.

Met these 2 surfers, both car nuts. One rebuilds VW's, the other's about to buy a track day car. Made their day, once I'd convinced them it was real.

Lovely to get out again, with the added bonus that a quick blast seems to have cured a misfire.

Just spent a day working with Bob Watson tracking down a top end noise ( not my motor) just a really nice day in good company..learnt a few things too. Better than shopping in Dorchester or chopping logs anyday...

Rainstorms and wind followed by cold breezy sunny day = that lovely rare dry winter day. Chucked the covers off the 964, put on winter wheels and went for a drive. First drive since I went a half inch lower at the front and all the better for it.

You know, you just can't beat those 16" D90's for feel, fun and a smooth ride. They're staying on for good..anyone want to buy a set of 17" Ruf speedlines? :)

Sold half of my 914 to my brother to fund the engine rebuild - not ideal but at least the work will get done so I can race at some point during the season 8)

Made up some additional Carb rain shields to fit under decklid mesh.

Aluminium sheet cut out using kitchen scissors, which I 'acquired' from my Mam many years ago :)

Bent a lip edge in the vice, and fitted...

Today my car starred in a video for a Taiwanese pop star shot on Brighton pier.

I kid you not!

Thanks to my pal James (havana henry) for taking care of the car as I'm working in Lisbon this week.

Link to cheesy video to come.

....absolutely nothing, and haven't for a while. Might have to start it up at the weekend just to remind myself that it does actually work! :)

Finished of the new look at the weekend.
I think the logo on the rear window is original, as it was on the car when I bought it.
