Made it at last

Post by Barnyard914 »

Hi Folk
Well after months if not years of intending to join I've made it.
My name is Bernard Mooney and I'm a 914 owner.
That sounds as if I need a support group, well having had a 914 for almost fifteen years maybe I do.
I decided I was going to get a 914 when they were first announced when I was a youth of 19. It took me untill I was 42 before I made it.
The car only comes out on high days and holidays and for the odd "Do" as at Gaydon last weekend.
Even so the old girl gets thrashed every now and then as I've used the car in the Association of North West Car Clubs sprint and hillclimb championship for the last seven years.

Welcome to DDK, I'm just down the road in Crewe. We are starting to gather a decent North West DDK mob at last!

The only support group you'll need (for car stuff, anything else is your own problem  ) is DDK. 8)

I've only just spotted this - it seems a bit late for a welcome message, but hello anyway Bernard!

Winsford to Chester makes us practically next-door neighbours in terms of DDKers in the North West.

Fourteen years experience seems to me like too good a resource on my doorstep to waste.

Hopefully, we'll get a good summer this year that tempts you into using the 914 frequently, and we can bump into each other.

Hi Bernard,
Car looks excellent, I have a photograph of her, part of a trio of 914's at Tatton park last year or year before, your car plus another two crackers, one silver, one green. let me know if you want a copy.
