Here is an example why:
Main A511 (old A50) Burton to Ashby Saturday 3:46am one of my vans going to work flashed at 36mph obviously nobody around or going to school.
I was in Spain at the time, none of my lads would tell me who it was which I informed the Police. Also whilst in Spain offices broke into.
Sent 2 police officers, of course I think its for the break in - O no sent to scare me into giving details of driver telling me they can close the whole company down if i do not supply details. I try to reason (a daft thought I know) goes to court, again try to explain no problem with paying fine but how can i take the points if im not even in the country.
Result: I, yes I get 6 points, yes 6 points as the company secretary!
Thats fair isnt it.
Ive got lots of stories regarding speed cameras having to travel all over the country and abroad, especially how dangerous it is when people see them at the last and break from say 40 down to 20 skidding and others swerving onto pavements to miss said muppett. And dont even get me started on what motorbikes get up to, to avoid them.
Lets see stats on how many have caused accidents or dangerous driving.
Sorry to go on but it gets me so mad next you will be telling me that my 4X4 is killing the planet cause our fantastic gov has decided to tell you so!

Re: speed cameras
I agree, but seeing as they're never going to do that, and have just released a new bill allowing police forces to place them whereever they like, I've signed the petition.james911rs wrote:Why do we want them scrapped, surely we just want them put in more sensible places!! Schools etc
Just like the way I signed the Road Pricing petition, not because I don't like the idea (is quite good), but on the grounds that I have no faith in the incompetent wasters in govt not to utterly balls up the implementation and cost everyone a lot of money.
