Hi, here I am again on my quest for finding a way to ID a pair of 169s...!
So here are the good news: I've just found a guy selling – what seems to be – a pair of NOS Hella 169 fog lights.
Although I have no doubt on the shape of the chromed boxes (as I've just checked an old post on a pair for sale http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... &highlight), I'd like to know if there should be any particular markings on the glass, so I took some pictures of the numbers, that I'm posting bellow.

Another thing on these lights I've found, is that the mounting screw is placed on the upper part of the box, unlike the other ones pmjt had for sale, that have it on the backside. Sorry, no picture of that...

Maybe this time you guys can shine some "light" on this "foggy" subject...

You will need the ones that mount from the rear not the ones at the top but the lense is the same.
1966 912 Karmann Coupe - polo red.

Thanks Ian, but the chromed box should be the same also, right?
The only difference should the on the mounting screws... or not?!

Earlier this year I visited Verona.

There is a great shop on Via S.M Chiavica called Auto-Mobilia. It's run by Fidiani Moreno & Bergonzi Grazia.

I remember seeing lot's of rare original Porsche parts there.. lots for early 911 and even more for 356's.

I don't think they have a website but you can email them on

I am sure they would get back to you.. I did see 2 pairs of Hella's whilst I was there.
