Yellow 914 race car for sale - SOLD - well Deposit taken

Post by Jon Kent »

There's a 914/6 race car for sale here in Luxembourg...in case anyone's interested......
Says it's a 1970 with a 2.4s engine & brakes.
Price is 13800euros (seems cheap.....though what do I know)

Pm me for more details.

Nothing to do with me, but I'll accept wine for commission

It's just down the road, so I can go and have a first look & take some pics.
Can also arrange accommo for anyone wanting to come & see.

Rgds,

Jon

Yeah, he's a dealer, well, wheeler-dealer.
www.cybersportscars.com/fre/occasions.php
I test drove a rough 964 in 2002 before buying a nice on elsewhere.
Then in about 2004 I drove a 968 & a 944S2 back to back. The 944 was better, but the pinion bearing was whining like a spouse
Expensive job (1500e), so I didn't buy again. Incidently his brother runs the back street specialist here, so no real excuse for these issues.
Every now and then he has some real nice stuff and this 914 seems nice AND cheap-ish. Definitely a bitsa though.
Would buy it myself, but I think the wife would freak.
I'm already running a 964, 968CS and the 911e is at the back of the garage being 'tinkered' with occasionally. Two car garage means she's always parking outside, then there's the au pair's car.......a little busy !
I'll call by on Saturday with my camera & get some more info.....should keep the wife on her toes.... :P

The guy has taken a deposit on the car, but will call if the buyer backs out.
It's really tidy, but a true stripped out racer with a 2.4S engine.
It was originally a real 914/6.
