If you did this you would be both a villain and a legend. Have you checked-out http://www.hoodride.com?Graham wrote:The car was originally tangerine but re painted gold at some point but it was just a quick blowover so the gold could be painstakingly removed revealing the original paint underneath, the sills are a bit rusty, and there are a few knocks and bangs on it,but I think it would look good, old dull tangerine with scuffs and knocks,or I could just matt black the whole thing and chalk some stripes on it?!!
Rat Look is really 'as found' and the reason why its got a bit of a bad name in the 'ol rodders fraternity is really because the younger generation (us I guess !) have adopted it it as an easy way to get a cooler looking car. They- the older rodders- esp in the US, are normally, well, from the magazines I have read, of a certain retirement age, and have the money to build cars- plus, being older- they are slightly more concerned with safety. This is fair enough- as some 'rat rods' are cobbled together to the extreme!Nige wrote:don't want to offend, but Fudgemeisters 912e has a certain patina and looks cool for it, although its not what you would call 'rat look' a term which is I think frowned upon by proper old time rodders.
