Dreaded Rust Worm has eaten my Car

Post by Dubpor »

Hi All,

The Dreaded Rust Worm has eaten my Car. I bought a RHD 1971 2.2E at the start of the summer with a view to having it restored which Nick from Early 911 started. It didn't take him long to discover that although the paint job looked good it was hiding a nightmare. Effectively the chassis is a write off and Nick has very kindly gone through the options open to me.

It maybe a long shot but does anyone have a suitable chassis or know of one available? I read the recent similar thread with interest and who knows maybe there's one available out there?

Down but not out,

Dubpor :(

Been there, seen it, done that. Very depressing ! You have my sympathies.
Sorry I can't help with the shell, but when I hit a similar predicament, I got a fair bit of help from fellow DDKers.
Keep the spirits up.
Cheers
