Motor Meister
Has anyone used Motor Meister in California for engine rebuild work? Given the current US$/£ exchange rate plus their competitive pricing it may be an option . The downside is, of course, the shipping cost and UK import/VAT duties. Any comments would be appreciated.

There are some nightmare stories about those guys on PP - what about the guy who sent his engine in, then went to pick it up before they had done anything to it and he was given back a motor that had been in a fire!

I called in to see motor meister when on holiday (understanding wife etc). To be honest, they had a lot of engines in bits, but did not seem to have much by way of a system to keep them as sets etc, including crankcases!!
In my view, you only need to buy the parts and take advantage of the exchange rate. We have some good engineers here that can do the job how it should be done.
If they are proud of their work, they will let you see the work anytime you like.
