Classic Insurance NCB

Post by 1972_911t »

I’ve just got my renewal through for my insurance on the 911, Im insured with Chaucer insurance through Graham Sykes broker. Im quite pleased with the premium £265 for a 29 yo with 9 points and two previous accidents on my other car policy, So all in all not bad at all. My only slight concern is that I’ve been told I don’t get any NCB on this policy, as it’s only a classic car policy, which worries me if I ever want to swap to a different insurer. Is this the norm for classic polices?

'Fraid so, NCB not applicable on classic insurance policies - but the premium sounds unduly cheap considering 9 points and previous accidents etc! Who is the underwriter??

The policy is with Chaucer insurance it may be quite cheap as its limited to 3500 miles per year also 6 of my 9 points are 4 years old so proably not too much emphasis is been put on these. Adrian flux also quoted me £281 although the graham sykes quote also includes agreed value of 15k.
