Crystal Blue TR/ST Re-creation

Post by Ferry Man »

I thought I'd start this thread to track the build on my R-Gruppe style evocation of the early T/R and S/T 911's.

You may have seen my purchase of a suitable shell:

http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12568

And me angiushing over how to render the car:

http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12610

Well, you know my penchant for photos so let's start a pictorial record of the build.
These first few show the extent of the rust and some of the extensive surgery needed to get back to a rust free shell.

Have you decided on that colour - Crystal Blue ?

Here's another picture of T/R '0834' you may not have seen before - the colour looks slightly different in this shot:

Paul,
I really look forward to the final project based on your ideas. Personally I think the more radical the better.

Looks like Nick the Air Chisel has been ordering plenty of panels.
Here are some of them at the trial fitting.
Let us know if they're in the wrong order.
