Bonnet badge

Dont want to come across as too f****** useless, but i cant seem to get the rubber gasket around the badge. This is a brand new porshe part, and the rubber seems to have shrunk. I have tried heating it in boiling water and supergluing one end to then stretch it over, to no avail. Has anyone got any ideas, or should i just put a porsche sticker on instead.

They are all like that. Just use patience and gently stretch it to fit. No need for heat, glue or force

Hairdryer until very pliable, then I used a toothpick (soft, not metal) to pull out the bits that didn't fit - then fit it on the car as quick as possible

It took me about four goes. I might have a new rubber in the garage if yours has seen better days.

I must admit that it is a pig of a job to do and takes such time. After 4 goes mine still looks wrong but time is all that required. Thanks for the tips as I have had the same problem.
