039 dizzy for 914

I'm going D-Jet on the 914 and need the right dizzy with Vac Advance and trigger points for the injectors.

Anybody have a good un surplus to requirements?

you don't want an 009 then! 039 I think

I'll have a look if we have any, though I'm unsure

funny my Dad has done loads on Disy's over the years when he developed them and made them at Lucas many moons. So I have a few spare 009's that I am going to ahve a go at changing the curve. A little project for me and my Dad to have ago at over x mass..

It's just a case of changing the weights and springs and I have already conntacted a local repair shop to have a go.. let you know what happens. It will be for 356's and 912's

You should be able to get a 009 for like £10

But if you were at this summers swap meet in the new forest.. then £75

whatever, but you don't want an 009 if you plan to run D jet, an 009 is centrifugal and not Vaccum advance/retard which is what you need.

009 can be had for about £25 s/h and are often used when converting to carbs as you don't need to setup a vac line from the carbs

BTW 009 are about £75 new and as Mark says can be had for little money s/h, there seems to be alot of quality issues with new one at the mo. But that's not what you need.

that's what i first thought, I just got a bit confused after reading some missleading info on another site and thought... righto that's what I need, what a burk I am !

I know some of the imp people are using them, not read much about them, 'cos I've gone MSnEdis on the imp. I doubt when the 911 goes back together that it will be running a dizzy either ! The ignition stability from the crank fired EDIS system is exceptional !
