Hello everyone, I have some news, I didn't buy the 911 E 69 because the friend that was selling it, crash it against a tree, kinda sad , but my friend got out without any scratch . So I was still looking and I found this(911 T 1971 Sportomatic)... Tell me what do you think about the car and Thx everyone.
P.S. Please tell me all the noticeable flaws and things that doesn't fit for that year I care a lot to get a nice thing, so speak wether is good or bad
Hi, Looks a nice car, only things I can see that are not correct (but nice anyway!) are the wheels and air cleaners.
The wheels look like 7" rims or deep 6" with spacers. The air cleaner should be a large plastic moulding, but a lot of people fit the K&N kit that this car has just to enjoy some extra induction noise
The air conditioning will be a welcome feature in your country, if it works! If not the extra ventilation from the vents under the dash will help.
Generally though, from the pictures a nice looking motor
The car looks pretty clean in those pics. The door, and engine lid lines also look good. There are a few small incorrect things that I am sure you already know, such as lenses, mirror and also an odd dash board switch.
The wheels are incorrect (7S) and are also replicas.

And how hard would it be to get another 1.5 at least I like a car that give me chills everytime I drive it(Like every porsche would do).. but I also like to be well maintened and kept, so the flaws are changeble, could I find the missing or wrong pieces?

Couple of things I noticed - shouldn't the indicator (turn signal) lenses have a chrome surround? I think that was correct for '71.
Are those dash vents correct?
Anyway looks real nice - I assume the sportomatic shifts okay?
Yep runs amazing ... the sportomatic shifts perfectly...
And the indicators I think they are wrong too, but thats easy to change I think. And the dash vents how ?????
P.S - I'll leave another picture of the car where the body work and paint looks better

I drove a Sporto a while ago....really enjoyed it.....sooo few of them around!!
According to the Sportomatic page there are only 190 made... the car is amazing as far as my knowlage can speak but with time I'll improve it I still have the desire of a ducktail and sided Porsche decals... but that Sportomatic letters and the clean look . I can't move that, looks amazing to me ohhhh but YESSS the front bumpers must go hahaha .
Does someone know how should I take care of the clutch, I took the car today and I jsut grabbed the knob and accelerate, waiting for the green light, and then let go the shift knob but I just read that I shouln't be doing that How should I play some 0-100 km/h racing ....
Hope someone can help me???
And other thing, I was searching for parts of the car and, let's say the ext. mirror, it is sold for 71-75 and I find different things that can match either 68-71 or 71-75 :S How do I know if it is the right thing to get??? I'm looking at thousands of photos and every car it is different I'm going a bit crazy, but then I see the 911, get chills ....

This is definitely a bad idea! Just put it in L, take your hand off the shifter, and hold on the brakes. When the light goes green mash the pedal. I'd be very surprised if doing anything else yields significantly better times.
The other way which again is not advised is to hold on the brakes with some revs, then release the brakes. But doing this the torque converter has to absorb all the energy you are building up, so if you have any mechanical sympathy you won't be doing this either
