What colour to paint a 914/6 GT-inspired car ?

Post by Lightweight_911 »

This may be a bit premature, but I have been thinking about what colour to repaint my new car once it arrives.

It is a '74 914 that has been continually developed/modified over the last 13 years into a 914/6 GT styled racer. Once it's over here I plan on making it a bit more 'authentic' & will almost certainly repaint it...

- so I am looking for suggestions as to a new colour scheme.

I love the Tangerine & Signal Orange ones (& may eventually opt for one of these) but would like some other options.

I am fully aware of Armando Serrano's fabulous website (& have dealt with Armando on a number of occasions) & have studied all of the relevant threads on 914club.com but has anyone else got other pictures of 914/6 GT's (real or replica) ?

Just for the record, this is my car's current livery:

I think you've seen all the photos I've seen as you've been on all the same websites!

I posted these on VZi this morning that I've povved from various places:

I'm struggling with the decision at the moment (although Im about as far away from paint as it's possible to be) I'm favouring Orange or White:D

I quite like it as it is :)

but if you are going to repaint it would have to be in a safety colour 8)

I think they look great in white like Ian McMath's car.

Obviously I'm biased for signal orange but any safety colour would look great

Really looking forward to seeing the car Andy 8)
