Can anyone suggest where I can get info on how to defend myself of a speed camera violation? I have been to Pepipoo.

Thanks

I haven't bought one of these, so I can't comment on how good they are, but I've seen booklets on how to avoid paying speeding fines on e-bay. Some are even in PDF format. Here's a link below, but there are several others if you trawl through.

Thanks Paul. A lawyer friend basically says that there is no way out of one of these situations.

I think they will say:
- you are caught on camera
- the unit was calibrated
- you have no way out
ha ha ha ha ha

Despite the fact:
- calibration seems to be 1x per annum
- and other interesting things

Can explain via a PM.

A mate is one of the finest legal bods in the country (and utterly straight - not like that celeb prat) - he's not cheap but reasonable - depends on how important the points are to you - I could gladly introduce you - he's the kind of guy who'll give you advice on your case.

As an example a mate got nicked at 42 in a 30 - to be fair to him he was coming back from hospital at 1am where his kid was in ITU - a stretch of road he's driven for 20 years and had JUST been changed to 30 from a 40.

He was up for six points from memory - went to court and Rob (my lawyer friend) pointed out that the officer had been using the laser gun while his personal radio might have been switched on which had been proven to interfere with readings.

Like I said - he's good, very good - depends on how important the points are on your tally up

PM if you want his details. He covers the whole country.

try the highly illegal practice of giving the name of the driver as someone you met on holiday who whilst visiting this country you lent your car to.

I have avoided 2 speeding tickets but of course I did give the names of the real drivers!

You have all probably heard the news of that guy who said his relative (made up) from South Africa had four speeding violations. He was caught because this relative was not on his insurance.

Need I say more.
