Remote Oil Tank Location

Post by haasad »

Can any one think of a good reason why I cannot relocate a dry sump tank into the luggage space and if it can be done what will I need in terms of remote oil filtration and cooling.

The Green 2.8 at Nick's Works got me thinking about enhanced weight distribution!

Hellooo..

The front tank is OK-ish.

You must be prepared for te oil light to come on with heavy prolonged braking..obviously the oil will not run "uphill" into the engine oil pump!

This is acceptabe on racers where the engine gets new bearings fairly often..

Kind regards

Something like this ?

- in this car the oil is transported from the engine through the rollcage tubing to the front-mounted dry sump tank.
