recommended adhesives

Hi
Can anyone recommend adhesives for interior trim, headlining, and the soundproofing in the engine compartment.

Evo Contact adhesive is good for interior items, not sure what its heat resistence is like for the engine sound proofing though.

Hi Nick,
I purchased a 500ml tin of "Alpha" AF176 adhesive in April of this year from a company called Wollies, specialist in trim, adhesive etc, I had intended to use this on my seals, but the door seals were fine without the glue. There is a batch expiry date on the tin of Dec 06, tin has never been opened and is of no use to me. You are welcome to it if it is of any use to you....................regards Gwyn.

On any bits & bobs I've recoved in my car I've used 'Alpha' as well, S 1358 High Heat Resistant. I was told it's the industry replacement for the nla Dunlop Glue, not sure how much truth there is in that, but I will say it's excellent stuff.

Gwyn, many thanks for your offer but i dont think i will be using it before the end of the year, rather let someone else use it, before it goes out of date.

I used Dunlop thixofix and about 40 bulldog clips to fit my new headliner. The glue was good because it allowed me to free off the headliner material even a day later and re-tension it. (it needed a lot of gradual re-tensioning to pull out creases.
