Just found this site, seems like my kind of place -- You guys have fun with your cars, not like the damn "Investment Bankers" who rule the old Porsche scene here in the states.

There are investment bankers here too, but we're the young and hip kind! well maybe not so young, or in fact "hip" per se, but we're here nonetheless!

Thanks for the welcome!
It seems to me that there are many more "Outlaw" type owners here. Those of us who choose to modify our cars are sometimes reviled in the States, and I would maybe be considered an "Outlaw Extremist" by the rivet counters of the 356 Registry :bom:

Wonderful ! Don't you just love the American 'can do' attitude. You've just made me feel my 914 is now more of a 'possible' than an 'unlikely'.
The tin worm does very well round here as well so I have similar problems. Must get some photo's sorted.

Any way I am about to do the same as you have done.. but I am only changing the rear part of the floor due to some of the metel being abit week and I would rather do it now than later..

any tips mainly at the rear of the floor nr the engine bulk head. I am thinking as long as I keep drilling out the spot welds then it should drop out..

Ya 912, that's how my pan came out -- just drill, drill, then drill some more!
I think maybe the German welders were payed by the spot :lol:
I've not done much on the car lately, but we're coming onto shop season here now, so back to work it is --
