Dashtop

Post by Lightweight_911 »

What's the going rate for an excellent used uncracked dashtop ?

How easy is it to get hold of one ?

Not an easy find. Mittlemotor have some used. Don't think you'll find a new one now. Several places in the US offer a recovering service. http://www.camp914.com/products.html

I think I've also seen an ad in the UK for recovering too, but for the life of me can't think where. If I remember I'll post.

You can also get a "dash cap" which is like a hard cover that completely covers the top. Plenty of them available on evilbay.com

I seem to remember southbound reproduced a dash top for a 911/912 but not sure if they do one for a 914. :?:

Andy

have you bought that 6 then?

You can get decent dashtops but they are pretty rare

Yes, Ian I bought the car.

The dashtop is fine but I was offered another perfect used one & just wondered how difficult they are to source & what the going rate is.

I'll post a few details on the car in a new thread in the 'General' section...
