MFI pump info

Post by Mike »

Leading on from Alan uk's Tower Diesels thread, here's a question:
Mike wrote:I would be glad of any leads on the company in Germany that rebuilds Bosch MFI pumps. As already mentioned RS Diesels are no longer and Tower Diesels do not seem to come highly recommended anymore. Both companies have had a go at mine over the past 12 years with varying degrees of success.

Most people seem to send them to JZ Machtech who them send them to this company in Germany who have taken over the machinary and tooling from Bosch themselves.

Had a long chat with Steve at JZ but no amount of trying would get him to spill the beans, anybody any idea's :?:
cheers, Mike.

Me too. I also tried to weedle some sort of clue out of Steve but couldn't get anything. Try emailing Mittelmotor or one of the dealers in Germany?
Maybe Bosch in Germany will tell you who's servicing them? I'm away next week but if you haven't come up with anything I'll try to get a german speaking friend to search the web. Either that or go through JZ Machtech's bins. (joke!)

My MFI pump was rebuilt in 1996 (pump and stacks) by Jerry's Werkstatt.

Hauptwache 10
65205 Wiesbaden-Delkenheim
Tel.: 06122/52652 und 12948

Can't remember the £££, but I have receipts so if you want to know I'll check...

From speaking to previous owners, the only problem they had with the car's running was MFI related but after it came back from Germany it was a 'revelation' - can't say I have any complaints 10 years on :)

Mike, another idea for a DDK road trip!
Maybe we'll go after the 'Fairmile' one evening.
I'm sure if a dozen or so of us turn up in the middle of the night we'll get the detective work done much quicker. I'll see if I can quieten my car down a little.
You organise it though (so you're the one that goes to jail).

Russell Lewis in Surrey knows who will service the MFI pumps.

I thought he'd told me he knows of two places. Hopefully one is extant!
