You're right about the repair. It was done in the late 50's/early 60's. I have some photos from around '62 showing the repair.
I don't want to appear too picky but it isn't a speedster. It's a pre-a cabriolet.

I wouldn't worry about it. It took me years before I could tell which model was which. There's always some smart a*** who knows better!

Recognise the early car now

You'll have to get along to one of our meets / drives us northeners have. Just a shame the we'll soon have salt on teh roads

I will definately join you when my cars are back on the road again. I am doing some winter repairs at the moment.
