Yesterday, I had a set of XAS fitted to my refurbished steel rims for my 12.
My local and previously reputable tyre fitters said that tubes were not required as my rims were fine for tubeless, this is despite my suggestion that tubes should be fitted to tyres marked "tube tyres". After fitting the rim/tyres at home last night ready for a nice run down to Goodwood this morning, I picked up a message on my phone from the tyre fitters (closed till Monday) suggesting that on reflection they should heve fitted tubes.
Is it as simple as I thought, tube tyres need tubes?
