Hi (and welcome).

My budget wasn't as high as yours, but I've been where you are, quite recently and found my prize through DDK, so you may well be in the right place.

I have lost count of the people who have seen my car since I bought it and said 'How much?' or words to that effect (meaning, of course, how little!) - when I admit the price I paid (it's a matter of record here on DDK - search my old posts...).

I think you can probably take my car / price as the absolute cheapest you'll find a road-worthy 914 - I certainly haven't seen anything like it since buying mine - but you've got enough money to be choosy, if you can be patient.

The most informative thing I found online was a post on the Pelican forums, of a photographic record of a strip-down to a shell, showing the 'hell-hole' and battery-tray, and the state sills can get into, rust-wise.

Best of luck,

Carl

I just wanna give one a nice new home :)

How easy is it to import them from the states?

More later .

I know of a yellow car possibley for sale , not 100% original but wouldn't really take much work/ £ to return to original .
That one is near Birmingham though

Racecraft welcome,
I have a 14 for sale see link http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9228

you can contact me on 07845149144 for further details. I am also interested in selling the car minus engine and gearbox as I would like a good spare for one of my other 14's if you are interested in a very good body to then add maybe a 6 cylinder to?

I am always a little nervous about buying dismantled cars.
But at that price it is an interesting option.

I take it engine is a 2.0.? Does it still have fuel injection?

Some more pics of Car, Interior, interior components, engine and parts would be helpfull.
