Help please - recent posting?

Post by Gulfb »

Can anyone please direct me to a recent posting with regard to the cold start piping (top and bottom hoses!) After a comprehensive engine rebuild the car is taking to long to warm with the cold start not getting enough air or fast enough resulting in a lean running engine!
Apologies for the rather poor 3rd hand description but any help most greatly appreciated.

Just one point, lack of this hose and subsequent lack of hot air to the cold start mech results is rich not lean running as the engine warms up.

Thanks Steve however I think the engine was set up with the cold start still operating (way after it should have stopped!) so that when it does finally nock off the engine is running lean!
This info is 3rd hand and quite frustrating so if you have any other ideas or areas to watch out for that would be great.
Thank you for the interest - Andrew.
