1953 Porsche 356 pre-A gear shifter adjustment for reverse?
Is the shifter supposed to have something built in to it keep me from going in to reverse without pushing the shifter straight down?

i've grab reverse a few times, when i wanted first (oops)

If it does, could you explain what I’m suppose to do to adjust it correctly,
And remember to type really slow so I can follow along

Hi Buddy yes it does but to what is missing from yours hmmm you would need to look into it more.

It sounds like something under the shifter is not right or missing.. I will see if I can find an expoded drawing but have a look on stoddards web site for the drawings and see if all the bits are there.

I will see what I can do here but mega busy with work stuff
