Speedster Clinic - Gary..where are you?
Does anybody know whether Gary and Speedster Clinic are still on the go? I've had somebody enquire where I got my hood and I was going to pass some business his way. I did a write up ages ago on fitting one of his hoods. See Link:-

scarlet Gary
Gary is working somewhere in Birmingham - doesn't answer phones or reply to messages - strange way to do business. I've been trying to track him down for 4 months to complete a job he started in November 2005!
That's not to cast aspidestras at Gary - he is a fine builder - when HE wants to be.
However O-B - your old mate at Classic Roadsters [ Martin Craven ] uses the SAME TRIMMER and the SAME HOODS, from the SAME PATTERNS.
Not surprising as the original patterns were supplied by Sheldonhurst to that particular trimmer over 20 years ago.
Not sure about the front hood bows and hood sticks though, I know that Gary made a very good job of those - early "other" makes had a tendancy to split and break. The Classic Roadsters bows would be different I imagine as the Roadster top bows are a different shape.
BTW - someone mentioned heated front screens some time ago - was that you O-B? I ordered a heated screen for a French guy I know [from Martin], in fact a complete assembly.

gary contact
Hey Joe, [ always wanted to say that ]
You've managed to perform a minor miracle and contact Gary.
If he's "still in business" why doesn't he answer his phone / return messages? Maybe post a contact number for him so that people who want to do business with him can actually do that? Or if he doesn't want to answer the phone, post the address for the workshop in Brum so that people can make contact that way. Either way, at least his business will expand a bit more rapidly than having no contact at all with potential customers. Business doesn't begin and end with Intrnets and websites.
Maybe you could do me a favour when you contact him about your hood and remind him about a steering column, Type 4 engine and other outstanding jobs that he started last November.
