tyre pressure

Hi
can anybody tell me what tyre pressure to run at with:-

185/70/15 on 7" FUCH AND 215/60/15 ON 8" FUCH
AND DOES IT MAKE ANY DIFFERANCE WHAT MAKE OF TYRE

in bars:

2.0 front
2.6 back

(factory manual of that age states 2.4 bar, but the later vehicles delivered off factory had recommended 2.6 bar. Have a try)

Regarding tires: it makes a world of difference in a 911. Current consensus seems to be Bridgestones SO3, Yoko's and kumho's.

But other rubber fetishists could perhaps elaborate.

Thanks for that will give it a try cars got avon fittted for fast road and track the last owner fitted them.
See you are nottingham based so are we but towards Newark side.
