I assume that the 'loose' end is meant to be plugged into the clamp, and the 'base' forms a curve? Even so, just can't think what it could be (for any car, let alone your one).

looks like the camping toaster bracket - there should be two - one to go either side of the toaster, find the other bracket then an original toaster and you have a very rare uber cool accessory that you should be able to put on ebay and sell for zillions :alien:
