Hey everyone, here are a couple of pics of my cars and one of the bike. Derek very kindly posted them for me as I simply couldn't work it out!

Anyway, the black car is a 1966 912 that I've had for about 5 years. It's had a few things done as well as a total engine and gearbox rebuild. When I got it, the previous owner had given it the "cal" look which I didn't much like so put it back to original as best I could.
It is pretty standard other than the Fuchs and the Webers, which are fluffy on start up but runs great. I drive this car most days during the summer but have a rule that I always drive a classic to work on a Friday.

The orange car was bought from eBay nearly 2 years ago. When I first physically saw the car I was very pleased. It had no rot, good(ish) interior and the engine ran like a dog (ok ok I was trying to be positive).
Since then I have found out that the car had the engine built to "S" spec and the settings were all wrong timing wise, fuel wise etc.
After a full going over with a specialist, the car runs like a train and I drove it for those 2 years with the paint looking very tired (one of the wings was in primer!)

Now the car has been restored to it's former glory. A bare metal restoration revealed that the only rust was on the offside outer sill which I replaced. Water had got in due to a missing chrome along the sill.
I love it but I think it's fair to say that I'm a little reluctant to have it parked outside my office as it's so clean!

The Bonneville is the most recent purchase. Bought it in the UK from the nicest bloke you could meet. A great road trip to his home from mine in Dublin resulted in a cracking bike and no sleep for 48 hours.. It's a 1978 T140, American spec. It has great presence and as a big bike fan it's my first two wheeled classic.

I hope that you all like my stuff. i also run a beemer 635csi hi line and a late 60s fiat 124 spider which I've had for twelve years.

Thanks again to Derek, who's obviously a big bike fan and inspired me to mail him some pics, hence the posting.

Hey Brendan,
Thanks man, it's called Tangerine and the colour reference is 6809. It was the original colour of the car but when I got it the car had been changed to a non Porsche red. Someone in the States had badly painted it. I'm glad that's gone..
The black one was in fact yellow when it started out it's life but I just can't afford to bring it back too. The body is very good on it also and I kinda like it in black.

Love them, they look yummy side by side. interested to hear what was done to the 911 motor to get to S spec.... assume cams, valve springs, timing, barrels and pistons, did you need to strip it again to fix it, god forbid ? sounds nice I would wager, enjoy tomorrow's drive, I will be doing the same in mine

Yep, all of the above. As it happens, took it for a run last night and it's started to run like a dog. I had a problem with it before and it was a carb blockage but got that sorted. The Webers had been refurbished, again in the States, and some of the residue had clogged the jets. They looked beautiful but gave awful trouble at that time.
This time I thought it was the ignition and had gone through the process of checking the points, condensor, coil, leads etc but it turns out the aftermarket electric fuel pump is on the blink..
Nowhere near enough fuel getting to the Webers so limped home, feathering it between 30 & 40mph. Mark from Bray's is getting a call today and hopefully sorted again next week.
When I had the car restored the engine didn't come out a second time as the engine bay didn't need any paint (due to being black and perfect) so I avoided it but I have got a beautiful picture somewhere of the engine on the bench from the time it was out when I got it first. I'll see if I can find it.
Yes, the car sounds fantastic (most of the time!), a total screamer and it's irresistable to not put the foot down.
Today however, the 912 was transport to the office and I've got to say it's hard to fault. The only thing lacking is the noise. If one more person says it sounds like the way their dad's old beetle used to I'll....
