Classic Le Mans Photo Libary

Post by Gary71 »

I use a site called Flickr to share photos with friends and the like. I've set up a group to which you can submit your pictures and keep them all in one place.

You have to register, but this only take a moment and it's all free.

You can comment on pictures, start dicussions, generally abuse each other, and it's all on someone elses bandwidth! :)

The link to the main site is:

http://www.flickr.com

The classic le mans 2006 group is:

Get posting when you get back and make a really great collection of images 8)

Just to add some more instructions, as I remembered it's not all that obvious to a first time user! :)

If you want to submit photos you will need to sign up, this you can do via the home page. Once you have created your account you can upload pictures from your computer, add 'tags' so people can search for them, add titles and a description.

Once your have uploaded your photos go to the 'classic le mans group' and join it. Then when you go back to your photos you will see a little button at the top of each one 'add to group' click this and submit your work!

Sounds complex, but once you've found your way around it's a great site.

Fantastic pictures: I took a few on Paul's camera, but suspect most of them have gone to pixel heaven now: suffice to say I think I'm the only DDK'er who isn't an ace photographer  .

Lovely pics Gary... hopefully I may have time to upload some of mine soon.

BTW I think we met just after the track laps when you (or your co-driver) came over to check I knew about the spectacular oil smoke from my car on the left-hand bends   Luckily its only a leak, rather than actually burning oil internally, and didnt prevent me dispatching several "Loti" during the laps 8) 8)

Hope your car comes back to life soon anyway....

:coffee: a late night or early morning did see some of the best places to be.. I saw at about 5:30 am a Bugati coming into the pits a blue one and he got the corners wrong then the next thing he was going side ways and then the fight to keep the car upright started...... I was feeling for him cos if it had flipped he was in trouble ... glad to say he got it sorted..

I've uploaded a few shots onto flickr but as they only take 20MB I downsized them to 1280x853. Happy to email 8 Mpix versions on request to DDKers....
