fan belt spanner

Post by jtparr »

I have just received a fan belt spanner from Porsheshop, but it does not fit..... its a C type spaner with a single tooth, all in a flat profile, about 4mm thick, see first picture

the dirty picture is my engine bay (on purchase), notice the difference in the shape of the locking disc from the shiny one which is an image I have borrowed from Nick (see the thread about blasting) I think the spanner I have been sent would suit Nick's car....

I think I need a different style because i cannot seem to get it to grip inside the punched holes of the cover plate....... .....but so far I can only find one type for sale
can anyone please tell me where I can get the spanner I need for my engine

thanks
Jp

I bought one of these. Cut the prongs shorter as they were far too long for my car. Don't know if different years need different lengths.
