Mini DDK Very Very Up North Event 2006

Post by bjmullan »

Myself and Mike (210bhp) decided that it would be a good idea to give our cars a run out before the long trip to Le Mans and so this morning we headed off to the top end of Loch Etiva near Glencoe for a bit of a blast. What can I say we had a great day and I will let the pictures do the talking 8)

I never wanted a 911 until.... returning from the Tour of Mull Rally with a friend in his '70 911T, he said "You Drive". All the way down Glen Coe ! .... Awesome scenery and the very best cars to do it in ! Nuff said... here I am ! I'm pleased to see you enjoying your cars and "back yard". I'll be there with my Targa again one day (next year ?)

Both cars look stunning - as does the scenery.

A DDK Scottish Tour is a definite must...

I'm sure that we could organise a nice tour of some of the best roads in the world along with a few stops at some nice distilleries on the way :)

Brendan
That will have to include a boat trip to Islay then.

Looks like we might be in for a bit of organising next year. Could be a really good event but I have to say I don't think a weekend would do it justice. What do you think?

Regards

Mike's right you know, you could spend a week or at the very least a long weekend doing Scotland and still have not seen the half of it. If you fancy something in 2007 I think it would have to be during one of the May Bank Holidays. Anyone fancy that?

Brendan/Mike

Pencil Sue and I in. We used to stay regularly at the Burnett Arms, Banchory after travelling up thro' Glencoe especially good in January in the snow. A May BH tour sounds good to me. Look forward to seeing you again in August.

Mike.
