Its running a 1835cc type with Del 40 carbs so should still have some 'go' its got that lived in feeling, rat look, patina whatever you want to call it. I'm promised its solid, although the viewing would reveal the extent of the solidness. My inital thoughts are to have a lump of cash left over from the p/x that would release funds to spend on the Oval (not too much as it will never be worth huge amounts) but I'm also hoping to have enough left over to also buy a good 914, which having been involved in my mate buying Barry's 914 I'm quite taken by them.
My gut feeling is go for it, the missus is quite enthusiastic too, a few others have said what that! after all money you've spent on the Porsche you must be mad (I should just about break even, its still less thatn depreciation on a modern car). But then they're not into cars.
