This started on the M25 at midday in the sun in a jam...
When depressed the clutch makes a clicking noise in time with the wheel rotation ie: when stationary no noise. You can feel the clicking through the pedal. Clutch still works fine and engages correctly.
It sounds like the cable is catching on the drive shafts.. will get underneath later to see if that's possible, but does this sound familiar ?
Thanks

Good theory, the cable is close to the driveshafts, and the mounting bolts/screws in particular.

I know, do you remember the Dave Allen sketch of a driving test with James Bond in a car chase, jumping bridges, hand brake turns, all the beautiful moves. Then the examiner tells him he has failed. Oh titter we did....
I fixed it, the section on the gear box through which the cable runs had broken off, so under tension the cable was tight to the drive shaft. So I cunningly made a bracket to grip the cable. Very pleased with myself.
I have had probs with the lawnmower by the way Barry, so I jumped the gun a bit thinking I needed a side cover...
Thanks
