Had some filters arrive today, just in time for a rolling road session tomorrow.....

....whilst there's nothing sexier than open throttle body stacks, it's not particularly practical for a road car. To get by I've been using ITG socks, better than nothing although possibly not that safe if the car were to spit back and they caught fire, but not that attractive and they spoil the look in the engine bay.....

Image

....looking out for a better solution I came across these...

Image

...a far neater and pretty cool solution 8) .....superb quality and they fit in seconds.....

Image

....so cool I also purchase a set for the Mongrel's High Butterflies.....

Image

...customer service was also first class and Joe at BBR Filters couldn't have been more helpful agreeing to change the usual taller 6.8mm lip for a 3mm to accommodate my slide throttle stacks and also ensuring the items were despatched in double quick time for rolling road comparisons :)

Could not recommend these guys highly, simply awesome, thanks Joe :thumbleft: https://www.bbrairfilters.com .....

Those filters look excellent. There's no way I'd have foam filters on anything, so I'm glad you've binned them off!

Those mesh filters murder airflow, though. They are very restrictive.

….and airflow obviously effects HP which Nick reckons is about 8HP Keith…..will compare with and without on the rolling road tomorrow and report back :thumbright:

Just seen your numbers on the RR. Very impressive. Listen, to Uncle Keith, and put the socks back in to get your power and filter. The grills are too open.

Amazing build, one of my favourites - congratulations on your achievement. I hope to see it in the metal one day.

Thank you for the super kind comments chaps :)

I've had a fun time sharing the highs and lows of this project, it's brought me a lot of help and support along the way and glad others have enjoyed it too.

Whilst I've not been the most active here in recent times I do love this community.

Nowhere better than DDK! :thumbright:
