And for those who suggested you can't set-up and drive an RSR engine with RSR cams and slide injection on the road..... 'I beg to differ!' 8)

Totally agree Darren,Neil Bainbridge set up my 2.8 on high butterflies and rsr cams on his dyno, and it drives fine for road use.
Enjoy racking up the miles on the outstanding build you've created.

Dougie

Great news Darren. I only only just saw the engine rebuild. I think that would of broke me.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, it's certainly been a heady few days!

Friday involved me heading to GDC Automotive, where all the best RS's hang out, and swapping a 2.7RS shell for my 3.0...

Image

Image

...before calling in to Ryan Edwards at Bicester on the return for some fine tuning of the rear muffler....

Image

...as well as saying hello to the car's cousin 8) ....

Image

...whilst not the greatest weather at the weekend I managed to clock up close to 200 smiles and met up with a group of like minded friends on Sunday...

Image

Image

....all went pretty well with just a few items to sort, a failed drivers door lock, an alternator that isn't charging causing a low battery and the rev counter not working which will be looked at by a fellow DDKer....

Image

Image

...overall really happy. Rear suspension is a tad over firm and had planned to change this anyway, the engine is fabulous, very drivable and promises to absolutely mega once run-in! 8) ...I might also change the front or rear tyres.

Yet to push it hard but feel it's going to be an absolute beast when properly set-up and shakedown complete! :)

Summer will be fun!
